Any endurance event has its ups and downs. They are part of it, to be expected. Easy to talk about now, from the comfort of the sofa. Moments where you think you cannot do this; sections where you are laughing to yourself inside , at the very fact you are still running.
Somehow, you persevere.
Surely these feelings continue (albeit unknowingly) into other areas of life ? Into your 'real' life- work, day to day routines ?
Some parts feel they will never end; some parts feel fine.
That's just how it is.
Are these feelings stronger, after having catapulted and bumbled to the finish line of a huge event ?
I think so, very likely indeed.
And lets face it - and part of your everyday, where you're not hungry / soaked through / struggling up a hill / taping up blisters in tears - it all just looks so much more manageable, doesn't it ?
